Adam Living the High Life at SXSW

Some people don't like indie rock
I went to SXSW last weekend to play my second show ever with GVP-solo-project-turned-super-group Miracle Fortress. After a ridiculous debacle involving missed connections, lost luggage (all of our gear), and roadside plastic surgery, we finally got to Austin. We missed our first showcase due to aforementioned bullshit; however we did manage to play once and it was pretty rad because it was in a microbrewery that fed us plenty of noon-time brewskies. Anyway, here is a short photographic series about my South by Southwest experience.

Luckily, on the mean streets of Austin I ran into the lovely Shapes and Sizes, who owed me a bunch of money. Isn't this the most adorable photo you have ever seen in your life??? They were really good at the Asthmatic Kitty showcase.
We got to see famous Japanese doom 'n' gloomers, Boris as well as the frickin' Melvins fer chrissake. This is a picture of Boris. Loudest. Show. Ever.
Miracle Fortress succeeds!
Some other highlights were sneaking into the Hilton and playing a grand piano, patronizing An Albatross at a Mexican seafood restaurant, making fun of douchebags (there are so many varieties at this particular festival!), Old Time Relijun, and getting extremely wasted before breakfast. Maybe Telefauna can go next year!
